William joined the Camp La Junta family in 2006. He went on to spend the next eight summers as a camper, and subsequent five on the summer horseback riding staff. William is a San Antonio native, a graduate of Alamo Heights High School, and The University of Texas at Austin. While in Austin, he was a Human Dimensions of Organization Major, Business minor, and was active in the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Following his graduation, William worked for years in the Dallas/Fort Worth real estate market before moving to Peru to work for the La Calera organization in Chincha. While abroad, William realized his true home was back at La Junta where he now lives and serves as the Program Director.
