We are excited to say CAMP IS ON!

Our decision to run camp this summer was not decided in haste. We feel a huge sense of responsibility to care for the health and well-being of your son and our staff members. As supported by recent metal health studies, we feel that the social/emotional needs of children to connect with other children in real time and space, for physical activity, unstructured play or structured play is immensely important.

We have created schedules, altered daily activities and modified games and cleaning/disinfecting protocols that take mandated, suggested and recommended precautions by the Governor’s office, CDC and local authorities into account. Families registered for La Junta this summer have already received our latest information regarding our new policies and added safety protocols for this summer. Should you have any questions, please contact us at 830-238-4621.

We have chosen a later opening based on Governor Abbott’s recent health standards for reopening. While not a guarantee of a COVID free environment, he provided many valuable guidelines and protocols to reduce risks for our camp family. Because of the new programming guidelines, staff quarantine recommendations and additional training, we have decided to reduce our sessions to 20 days or 10 days and adjusted our dates as follows:

First Term: June 21 – July 10
*Session 1A: June 21 – June 30
*Session 1B: July 1 – July 10
Second Term: July 12 – July 31
*Session 2A: July 12 – July 21
*Session 2B: July 22 – July 31
*CIT’s included
